The Funmi Babington-Ashaye Foundation, popularly called FBA Foundation, is a foundation geared towards helping women achieve their full potentials. They do this by helping women grow in their career, businesses, family, financial and spiritual lives, and thus aptly bearing the tag the ‘360 degrees women’.

The FBA Foundation, has been running a mentoring program for the past 3 years, where these young women are trained for 9 months, using all available resources, online posts, one-on-one mentoring, mentoring call sessions and also hangouts, where the mentees and mentors meet together and network.

The mentoring programs are divided into cohorts, and has successfully completed 3 cohorts in the past, and the 4th cohort, will be inducted on 29th March 2025. The successful inductees, have passed through several rigorous screening, out of which the 24 inductees were selected from over 30 applications.

In striving to enshrine its mission statement, which is to provide a mentoring and advocacy platform that inspires women to achieve their maximum potential in career, business and in family life. The FBA Foundation has been deliberate in their selections both for mentors and mentees, and each are paired based on criteria such as professional affiliation, or shared values.

At the induction, which will happen on Saturday, 29th March, a guest speaker, Kofo Awonuga – Chief Executive officer Pricewise Stores Nigeria Limited, has been pencilled to speak at the event. Mrs Awonuga, would share stories, experiences and insights from her career life, spanning through organizations like Coopers & Lybrand, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Asset & Resource management Ltd (ARM), The Nu metro Group and Pepkor Retail, etc.

The event promises to be an opportunity for investment into the lives of aspiring women who want to change the status quo in their lives. So, the new inductees of the FBA Foundation, can be considered as lucky to have the opportunity of a life time, through mentoring.
