The FBA Foundation recently held its Quarterly Mentoring Seminar on “Overview of AI: Understanding Its Applications for Career Development and Everyday Life,” featuring Mrs. Ejiro Ogunbanjo, Chief Human Resources Officer, as the Guest Speaker.

The session provided participants with a practical introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI), covering the different types of AI, common misconceptions, and its increasing relevance across various industries. Mrs. Ogunbanjo demonstrated how AI can be used to enhance career development through CV and LinkedIn optimization, interview preparation, salary negotiations, personalized learning, and personal branding. She also highlighted practical everyday applications, including task management, scheduling, writing assistance, research, and workflow automation.

Participants were encouraged to adopt AI responsibly by verifying AI-generated content, protecting sensitive information, maintaining critical thinking, and avoiding over-reliance on AI tools. The seminar concluded with practical recommendations of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok AI, Grammarly, and Orai, equipping attendees with valuable resources to improve productivity, communication, and career growth.
